Jill Shalvis - Under the Mistletoe (Lucky Harbor Series Book # 6.5)

JUST ONE MORE KISS

There's no place like home for the holidays. And the Lucky Harbor Bed & Breakfast is bursting with festive lights and good cheer. But for Mia, Christmas is turning out to be anything other than merry and bright. Her recent break-up with her boyfriend Nick has made her return bittersweet. But then a surprise arrives, when Nick follows her to town bearing gifts-and asking for forgiveness.

Nick grew up without a family of his own so he's overwhelmed by the love that Mia receives from all her relatives, gathered together to celebrate the season. Under their watchful eyes, Nick finds earning back her trust the hardest thing he's ever had to do. If he succeeds, he will receive the greatest gift of all, Mia's love for a lifetime.

I actually didn't plan on reading any of the ".5" short stories in this series, but I grew a liking to Mia in Tara and Ford's story, The Sweetest Thing. She is the daughter that Ford and Tara gave up for adoption at birth, when they were only sixteen years old. I was totally not expecting Mia to become part of the story in The Sweetest thing, but am so glad that she did - and also happy she got a little story of her own, since she became such a staple in The Sweetest Thing and you wondered at the end what happens in her life.
If you are looking for a good book to pass and hour or two time, then grab a warm drink, a comfy blanket and read Under the Mistle toe - it's a short, short read but closes the book on the B&B girls and now the families they have all grown.
