Jill Shalvis - At Last (Lucky Harbor Series Book #5)

HER LOVE HAS COME ALONG . . .
Amy Michaels loves her new life in Lucky Harbor. A waitress in the local diner, she's looking forward to her first weekend hike through the mountains. But when a wrong turn takes her off the trail, she finds herself up close and personal with forest ranger Matt Bowers. And even though she's tempted to kiss that sexy smile right off his face, she won't make the mistake of getting involved with the town heartthrob.

A former cop whose life went south, Matt doesn't let anyone get too close. But something about the feisty beauty caught his eye the moment he first saw her in the diner. After a hot night under a starry sky, Matt can't deny their attraction-or the fact that for the first time in a long time, he feels the stirrings of something more. Now it's up to Matt to help Amy see that, no matter what is in their past, together they can build a future in Lucky Harbor.

I was hoping to get more into this story in the Lucky Harbor series with At Last... but just couldn't find myself getting too fascinated with it. I liked Amy throughout the other stories as well as Matt, the sexy Forrest Ranger - but when their story actually came up.. I found it a bit boring. Don't get me wrong, there are some definite spicy scenes and cute moments - but it took me longer to read this book then it did the others.
The journey Amy goes on to find the peace and heart like her deceased grandma did all those years ago, I found to be tiresome. There just weren’t enough WOW moments for them to fall in love, connect and/or really date. Unlike the Trager sisters and their love stories, or even Mallory and Ty’s.. they had so many moments that took your breath away, made you riveted to the story and want to keep reading … but with this, it just seemed to be the same thing over and over again for me.
I give this book 3.5 stars with some 4 star love scenes!
I can’t wait to read Dr. Josh’s story... There is so much there that has been building up for him and Grace that I think it will be a great story line.
