Leanne Banks - Feet First (Bellagio Series, Book #1)

It's all about the shoes! Designing footwear is Jenny Prillaman's life, so getting the plum assignment to create a socialite's wedding shoes is a dream come true. Dealing with the heiress is another story. So is staying away from her dreamy new boss, a man too hot to deny for long, despite Jenny's best intentions of keeping her business away from his pleasure.
Making Ballagio, Inc. an international success is executive Marc Waterson's career ambition. But his life's desire is to find the right woman and settle down. Too bad Jenny would rather follow in his corporate footsteps than try on the glass slippers of a company wife.
At least Marc's got one thing going for him -- the way to a woman's heart is through a really great pair of shoes!

Feet first was a fun read to pass my time over the weekend. I admit that I expected more from the story and never fully got into Marc Waterson's character or was able to really visualize him. I did like Jenny's character a lot, she was funny, giving, sweet and pretty must said exactly what she wanted to - and got what she wanted! Marc's character though seemed rude at times... as in forgetting Jenny's name so much - and the fact that he didn't even notice her until she became "sexy" kind of bothered me. All together the book was a pretty good read though and there were times that I cracked up and something either one of them said - but when it comes to the hero character... I was more sizzle on his end, more flirting and sexiness... which I just didn’t’ get from Marc at all!!
I also wish she would have introduced and describe Walker & Tara more into the first story, to play them up for their book, Underfoot. Hopefully Walker isn’t as much a stickler in his book then he seemed to be in Feet First.

Shannon Stacey - Yours to Keep (Kowalski #3)

Sean Kowalski no sooner leaves the Army than he's recruited by Emma Shaw to be her fake fiance. Emma needs to produce a husband-to-be for her grandmother's upcoming visit, and, though Sean doesn't like the deception, he could use the landscaping job Emma's offering while he decides what to do with his civilian life. And, despite his attraction to Emma, there's no chance he'll fall for a woman with deep roots in a town he's not planning to call home.

Emma's not interested in a real relationship either; not with a man whose idea of home is wherever he drops his duffel bag. No matter how amazing his "pretend" kisses are...
Back again with the Kowalski series from Shannon Stacey. I have to say.. from the three books that I have read so far, this one is my least favorite. Although I think Sean seems like a sweet character, as well as Emma- there just wasn't enough OOMPH for me in this book. I never felt much of the chemistry in through out it and tended to look more forward to the parts with the family in them... since, I did love me some Joe & Kevin from the first two books.. and both of the heroine characters!

I'm glad that this book stayed with in New Hampshire atmosphere - where all the other Kowalski family resides, and didn't leave them out of the plot line.
This book was mediocre to me and I could have done with or with out it... although there were parts that were cute and made me laugh.
